BREAKING: Court grants Omoyele Sowore N20 million bail

A chief magistrate sitting in Wuse 2 Abuja, has granted bail to the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore in the sum of N20 million, with two sureties in like sum, one of whom must be a civil servant not below grade level 12.

The court also ordered Mr Sowore to remain in Abuja and must physically report to the court registrar every Monday and Friday pending the hearing and determination of the case against him.

Co-accused of Mr Sowore were also admitted to bail in the sum of N1 million each and 1 surety in like sum.

The matter was adjourned to 5th February for trial.

Omoyele Sowore and the other defendants are standing trial for alleged criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly and inciting public disturbance.
