The bandits that abducted residents of Eruku in Ekiti local government area of Kwara are said to have placed N100 million naira ransom on each abductee.

The gunmen stormed the community on Tuesday, November 18, while the members were holding a service in a church and carried out an attack.

Three persons were k!lled while about 30 others were abducted.

It was gathered that the kidnappers have started contacting the families of the victims who were abducted during a church service.

A community leader and Olori Eta of Eruku, Chief Olusegun Olukotun whose four relatives were among the kidnapped victims confirmed this to news men .

Chief Olukotun said he was in the church with five of his family members when the incident occurred, adding that one of his wards escaped the attack through the church’s window.

He confirmed that the kidnappers have made contact with the people of the community and are demanding N100million naira as ransom on each of the victims.

Olukotun appealed for more security presence in Eruku, being a border community to ensure the security of life and property of the populace.

Soldiers have already been mobilised to the troubled community.
