The leadership crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress APC in Sokoto state has taken another twist as the coalition of the APC Support group in the state has passed a vote of confidence on the national leadership of the party led by Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
The Coalition in a press conference addressed by its spokesman, Isa Jabbi says the APC in Sokoto is strong, formidable and does not need distraction from unnecessary leadership tussle that will not help the party in it bid to take over power in Sokoto, in 2023.
Mr. Jabbi says the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee led by Mr. Buni is working hard to ensure the APC remain a true national party that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of all Nigerians and therefore, should not be distracted.
The Coalition reaffirmed its Support and loyalty to the chairmanship of Mainasara Abubakar Sani to lead the APC to success in Sokoto as the nation prepare for the general election in 2023
They described as unfortunate and unnecessary the attack on the person of the nation’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami by the factional APC Chairman in Sokoto, Isa Sadiq Achida.
