The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Enugu state chapter has appealed to  chairman of the state opposing All Progressive Congress to refrain from attacking the party but concentrate on his party .

Spokesperson of the PDP Governorship candidate, Nana Ogbodo gave the charge at a news conference in Enugu,

He warned the APC Chairman to devote his energy to grow and reconcile aggrieved members in his party, than being on wild goose chase, alleging that PDP is behind his party’s debacle.

The party also charged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to  investigate the alleged fraud made as a result of fund accrued in the party at the convention and party presidential rally.

Reacting,  the APC Chairman  Ugochukwu Agballa denied the  embezzlement allegations, said he did has not received money from anyone.

He claimed that the protest held in Abuja against him was  sponsored by the state ruling PDP.

 

POLICE LAUNCH INVESTIGATION INTO ATTACK ON FEDERAL LAWMAKER IN ONDO 

The Police in Ondo State have launched a full-scale investigation into the alleged attack on the convoy of a member of House of Representatives, Tajudeen Adefisoye, popularly known as Small Alhaji, by political thugs in Idanre Local Government Area of the state.

The All Progressives Congress, APC federal lawmaker, who pointed accusing fingers at the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP supporters, wants the police to get to the roots of the matter.

But the state chapter of the PDP has exonerated its members from the attack.

The attack on the convoy of a member of House of Representatives, Tajudeen Adefisoye, popularly known as Small Alhaji, in Idanre by political thugs, has continued to generate reactions from different quarters.

The lawmaker, who is representing Idanre/Ifedore constituency at the House of Representatives, was allegedly attacked while returning from an outing.

Addressing journalists in Akure, Adefisoye accused the candidate of the the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the House of Representatives and his supporters of carrying out the attack.

His vehicle was shot and part of its windscreen was partly affected.

But the PDP candidate, Festus Akingbaso exonerated himself and his supporters from the attack, describing the allegation as a blatant lie.

He accused the APC lawmaker of sponsoring thuggery in the community.

The police in the state have however launched an investigation into the matter.
