The All Progressives Congress (APC) is gearing up for its national convention, kicking off with congresses from Monday.
The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and Governors have endorsed the convention timetable, which outlines a series of events leading to the national convention in March 2026.
The process began with a nationwide electronic membership registration from December 1, 2025, to January 30, 2026. Here’s a breakdown of the key dates:
– Ward Congresses: February 18, 2026
– Local Government Congresses: February 20, 2026
– State Congresses: March 7, 2026
– Zonal Congresses: March 21, 2026
– National Convention: March 25-28, 2026
The APC aims to elect new leaders at all levels, from ward to national, ensuring a transparent and inclusive process.
The party has also welcomed new members, including Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, Governor Caleb Mutfwang who recently defected from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).”
