AKEREDOLU SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS FOR EDUACTION DEVELOPMENT

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu says government alone cannot effectively fund the education sector.

Governor Akeredolu spoke at the 60th anniversary of new church grammar school, Owo.

He expressed the readiness of his government to partner with old students association of different schools to bring meaningful development to public schools.

Represented by his Deputy, Governor Akeredolu said government is willing to give back schools to the original owners who have shown interest.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Gbenga Ale who is an old student of the school said efforts should be geared towards providing adequate funding for schools.

Old Students or Alumni Associations have become a veritable tool of development in Schools across the world and the Ondo State Government seeking partnership with the Old Students Associations Scattered across the State will go a long way in not only developing the Schools in terms of contribution to Infrastructure Development but also helping in enhancing Education Development within Ondo State.

The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, being a member of a very vibrant Alumni Association himself would be conscious of what the Old Students of Schools in the State can bring to the Table in terms of developing Schools through infrastructure and even enhancing the Standards of Education.

The Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, is a Law Graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife and was also a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association form 2008 to 2010.

He is a well known advocate of Education who is reputed to have sponsored several indigent Students through School.

He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a member of the Inner Bar and also a life bencher of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The Headquarters of the Nigerian Bar Association in Abuja is Named after him and he will be completing his term of office as the Ondo State Governor in 2025.
