Workers at Los Angeles’ international airport have staged a rally calling for an end to the U.S. government shutdown that has left many of them without pay and struggling to make ends meet.
The rally was followed by the distribution of food stamps and vouchers to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees.
As the shutdown enters its fourth week, states have begun taking steps to cushion the blow for federal workers who have been tossed out of work or forced to work without pay.
