Aircrafts manufacturer, Airbus, has indicated that it will cut 15,000 jobs in its workforce within the next 12 months.
Company officials said the action will enable the business to deal with the effects of corona virus pandemic.
Airbus will cut 1,700 jobs in the UK, along with thousands more in Germany, Spain and other locations.
But, workers unions are opposed to that levels of job losses, describing the move as an act of industrial vandalism.
