The African Development Bank has unveiled plans to invest $12 billion in electricity in Africa for the next five years
The fund will support its New Deal on energy for Africa which aims to achieve universal access to the continent by 2025.
AfDB President, Akinwumi Adesina says Africa’s energy potential is big as its electricity deficit.
He added that project must employ off-grid solutions to achieve the electricity access targets.
