The Governorship election in Imo state has come and gone but some aggrieved parties are still challenging the out come of the poll especially the victory of Governor Emeka Ihedioha candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
But this time around one of the challengers of the Governor’s victory the Action Alliance has officially withdrew its suit on grounds that the Leadership of the party was not buried before they instituted the suit.
Counsel to Action Alliance further explained that his party wouldn’t have taken Peoples Democratic party to court because both parties entered into alliance before the poll.
Reacting to the withdrawal of the suit the Action Alliance State Chairman Agustine Ahaneku says the state chapter of the party is still behind the candidate Uche Nwosu adding that the withdrawal has no effect on the case.
Analysts say that even though the case will still continue in court but the withdrawal of the party will go along way in jeopardizing its final out come.
