The Action Alliance has withdrawn its petition against the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and its party, the All Progressives Congress.

The party made this known on Monday at the beginning of the pre-hearing of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja.

The presidential election petitions tribunal is chaired by Justice Haruna Tsamani (Abuja Division ) and has Stephen Adah(Abuja Division), Misitura Bolaji-Yusuf( Asaba Division), Boloukuromo Ugo (Kano Division), Abba Mohammed ( Ibadan Division)as members.

Chairman of the panel, Justice Haruna Tsamani says they are determined to do justice to the case and advised lawyers against making sensational comments.

In his inaugural speech, he noted that the cooperation of lawyers in the case is needed as election petitions are time bound.

Counsels should be wary of unnecessary applications that will waste the time of the court.

Everyone will be satisfied with the verdict at the end of the case.

In their separate responses, counsel to the President-Elect, Wole Olanikpekun as well as counsel to Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi assures the court of their full cooperation and support, in ensuring speedy hearing and determination of the petitions
