As parts of efforts geared towards bringing relief to those battling various forms of eye defects in Ifako-Ijaye community, lawmaker representing the constituency at the Lagos state house of assembly, Adewale Adedeji has given out 750 eye glasses and sponsored cataract surgeries for his constituents.
It’s the 2nd edition of “Jigi Jah” an eye care intervention initiated by the lawmaker representing Ifako Ijaye constituency 1 at the Lagos State house of Assembly.
Adedeji Adewale has in the last 3 years shown commitment to the eye health of his constituents most especially the indigents within the community.
Hundreds of the beneficiaries who had various eye diseases thronged the venue of the exercise where they got medications comprising free eye glasses for some while others who had been scheduled for cataract surgeries went in for operation.
For the Lawmaker, the 3-day exercise is expected to cater to the needs of 750 people in the community, a slight increase in the number of beneficiaries recorded in past outreaches.
The medical outreach which came to a close at the weekend recorded successful eye surgeries for 50 beneficiaries within the constituency.
