At least seven persons have died and five others are injured after a magnitude-5.7 earthquake struck southern Turkey, near the border of Iran on Sunday morning.
More than one thousand buildings had collapsed after shallow tremor, leaving many still trapped under the rubble.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre says the quake, which had been felt in Iran, had a depth of five km.
