Anambra state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Basil Ejidike says the party will take part in the scheduled state Local Government elections, if a level playing ground will not be provided to all the parties involved in the election.
The Chairman who stated this at a news Conference in Awka argued that September 28, 2024 slated for the Council poll was not enough for political parties to conduct primaries, elect candidates, nominate party agents for 5720 polling units, campaign, among others.
Ejidike expressed concern that many eligible voters would be disfranchised going by the notice and timetable released by the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC),
He claimed that no enough time was allotted for voters register review for those who recently clocked 18 years or lost their voter’s card for them to participate in the election.
