Police in Ogun State have killed two suspected kidnappers, rescued four victims and recovered ammunition.The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Abiodun Alamutu made this known in Abeokuta while speaking about the successful operation of his men.
He said the Anti-kidnapping squad of the Ogun State Command was dispatched with explicit instructions to pursue the fleeing suspects who abducted some individuals along Sagamu Ijebu-Ode Expressway.
The Commissioner added that through covert operation, the suspects were located in a bush where they were hiding and they engaged the Police in a gun battle which later resulted to the death of two of the suspects.
He said four victims were rescued and they include three Indian nationals and one Nigerian have been reunited with their families.
Items recovered include, five AK-47 rifles, Eight AK 47 magazine, 109 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and Two cell phones.
