Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has reacted to the ruling to the court of Appeal nullifying his election, he says he still has confidence in the judiciary to give him justice and restore his mandate at the Supreme Court.
Mr. Mufwang believes the Appeal Court verdict is a temporary setback.
This is the first time the governor is talking about the appellate court judgment in Jos.
Supporters of the People’s Democratic Party in Plateau State are out in their numbers to receive the state governor, Caleb Mufwang.
This is the first time the Governor is returning to the state from Abuja, since the Judgment of the court of Appeal invalidating his election.
The Governor insists that his loss at the Court of Appeal is a temporary setback and urged his supporters in the state to remain calm and optimistic about victory at the Apex Court.
From Yakubu Gowon Airport, the next destination was the government house, where his supporters had gathered to welcome the governor and his entourage back to the state.
Governor Mutfwang said he is comforted by the overwhelming support shown by the indigenes of the state.
The state governor called on his supporters and citizens in the state to remain calm and not do anything that will lead to the breakdown of law and order.
