The First Lady of Nasarawa State, Silifat Abdullahi Sule has called on women of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure they collect their Permanent Voter Cards before deadline to enable them elect candidates of the party.She made the call at a rally tagged “Meet the women tour”, which held in Awe and Lafia local governments for the Southern Zone of the state.
It was the first time since the campaigns began for the 2023 general elections that women of the APC are gathering to canvass support for candidates of their party in Nasarawa State.
The first lady of the state, female commissioners, female party officials are all gathered for this meet the women tour in Awe and Lafia local governments.
The essence of the tour is to mobilize and sensitize women on the need to vote candidates of the party at general elections. But the first lady of the state feels that this can only be possible if the women are fully armed with their PVCs ahead of the polls.
Women leaders of the party pledge to take the message to all nooks and crannies of the state and mobilize women to vote the party.
The tour which will be extended to the Northern and Southern Zones of the state, is expected to translate to a victory for the party.
