The Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva has advised critical stakeholders not to politicise the current flood situation across the country.
Mr Sylva made the appeal while on a tour of flood ravaged communities and roads in Bayelsa State.
Arriving at the Bayelsa International Airport, the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva is received by the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board, Simbi Wabote, and other top officials of the NCDMB.
Although being a son of the soil, the minister is in the state on a tour of impacted communities and affected infrastructures, while emphasizing the flood victims.
Areas visited include, the Amassoma road, which has been cut off by the floods, the IDP camp in Igbogene, and the Ahoada axis of the East/West road, which has made intra-state movement Between Rivers and Bayelsa extremely difficult.
