Senator trains 3500 Youth on ICT in Ogun, earns commendation

SENATOR TRAISN 3500 YOUTH ON ICT IN OGUN, EARNS COMMENDATION Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola

Residents of Ogun West Senatorial District have commended Solomon Adeola for facilitating training of 3500 youths and provision of working tools and start up capital for them.

They made this known at Ilaro, during the programme which was done in partnership with the National Productivity Centre, Abuja.

In order to to reduce poverty and create employment opportunities among youth and women in Ogun West, the All Progressives Congress Senatorial candidate in the district has facilitated training for 3500 persons.

The training focused on 11 different vocational skills and was done through his economy empowerment programme.

Beneficiaries appreciate the gesture and commended the senator for thinking about poverty reduction in the society.

While addressing his people during the programme held at Asade Agunloye modern pavilion, Ilaro, Senator Solomon Adeola said the intention was to take the people out of poverty.

He said the empowerment programme would also make the beneficiaries to be self-reliance and means of giving back to the society.

He expressed optimism that many of the participants would start producing locally made goods and services and stimulate the local economy.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola popularly known as Yayi currently represents the Lagos West Senatorial District in the Senate and is seeking to represent the Ogun West Senatorial district in 2023.

He has been a parliamentarian since the return of Democracy in 1999 first representing one of the State Constituencies of Alimosho Local Government in the Lagos State House of Assembly before his lection later into the House of Representatives where he was a two term member before his election into the Senate in 2015 to represent Lagos West Senatorial district.

He was re-elected again in 2019 to represent the Lagos West Senatorial District and has held the Chairmanship of the Appropriations Committee.

He is seeking to represent the Ogun West Senatorial District and has embarked on a charm offensive to woo his ;people and ensure his return to the Senate but this time representing Ogun State.
