The Federal Ministry of Science and Technology says it is drawing up strategies that would grow the country’s economy and manage factors of production.
The Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation, Adeleke Mamora disclosed this during a Northwest Dialogue on the establishment and implementation of Technology and Innovation Centres for Global Competitiveness and Productivity.

The Government through the Ministry for Science, Technology and Innovation is strategizing towards achieving the nation’s development goals across all sectors of the economy.
Officials of the Ministry converged on Kano for a Northwest Dialogue on the establishment and implementation of the Technology and Innovation Centres for Global Competitiveness and Productivity by the Strategy Implementation Task Office for Presidential Executive Order No. 5.
Stakeholders from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the Northwest attended the event.
President Muhammadu Buhari signed into law Presidential Executive Order No.5 on the 2nd of February 2018 on planning and execution of Projects, Promotion of Nigerian content in contract, science, engineering and technology.
The Government is hopeful that sooner or later the role of science, technology and innovation would be appraised by all for the desired goal of growing the economy to be achieved.
