Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping unit in Rivers State have arrested a notorious kidnap kingpin accused of killing four of his victims, three foreign Nationals and a Nigerian.
The suspect, identified as Anthony Ndubuise who was arrested through intelligence led police officers to Etche Local Government Area where the corpses were recovered from a septic tank.
Aside being a shoe seller in the Garrison area of Port Harcourt and married with four children, very little is known about the suspect.
According to reports, Mr Ndubuise kills mostly his business associates. The suspect, it was gathered would allegedly lure unsuspecting persons to his operational base, which also doubles as his residence on the pretence of a business meeting before kidnapping them.
He is also accused of receiving huge sums of money as ransom.
After the suspect’s last victim was declared missing by his relatives in Abia State, police investigation led officers to trailing and arresting him.
Neighbors said the suspect lived a secluded lifestyle.
Curiously two of his children said the entire household were aware of their father’s activities but were unable to stop him.
But the whereabouts of his wife and two other children remain unknown.
Addressing the Media at the scene of exhumation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph G. Mukan condemned the incident and promised to declare a total war against perpetrators of heinous crimes in the State, while advising the public to increase their security consciousness and report all suspicious characters and movements to the Police.
