Residents of Epe area of Lagos, Tuesday morning stopped some uniformed persons from gaining access into the residence of the former governor of the state, Akinwunmi Ambode
There were reports that the person are from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission but TVC News cannot independently confirm that.
As the Uniformed person left with their vehicles, Sounds of gunshot could be heard with no certainty where they were fired from.
But the EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, said the anti-graft agency had received petitions against the governor, and that it was investigating his administration.
A federal high court in Lagos had ordered the freezing of three bank accounts allegedly linked to the former governor over a N9.9 billion fraud following an ex parte application by the EFCC.
The former governor however denied operating those accounts, saying he had no personal links to them.
