Kogi election:Yahaya Bello emerges APC flag-bearer

The governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, is the flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress for the November 16 governorship election.

Governor Bello secured 3,127 votes from the three thousand five hundred and ninety six delegates accredited for the primary.

10 governorship aspirants participated in the primary while one of them, Hassan Bewa, a member of the House of Representatives walked out of the venue of the primary alleging high level of manipulation.

This will be his first major contest as governor as he was not the candidate of the APC in 2015.
