2019 AFCON Qualifiers: Comoros advance to group stage

Image result for 2019 AFCON Qualifiers: Comoros advance to group stageComoros have booked their place in the group stage of the 2019 Nations Cup qualifiers following a 3-1 aggregate win over Mauritius.

Tuesday’s second leg in Mauritius ended 1-1 after Comoros won the first leg 2-0 last Friday.

Comoros now advance to Group B to play along side Morocco, Malawi and reigning champions Cameroon.

Cameroon will qualify automatically as hosts no matter where they finish in the final standings.

The group stage of the 2019 Nations Cup qualifying begins on the first weekend in June with the 12 group winners automatically earning a place in the finals.

The three best runners-up will also advance to the tournament.
