The National Association of Energy Economists says the country’s power generation source should be decentralized.They cite examples of countries like China, where local communities and households generate their own electricity through alternative means.
The energy economists say this holds the solution to much of the country’s development challenges.
They were speaking ahead of the world energy day which is marked globally on the 22nd of October.
