The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says its taking delivery of sensitive voting materials from the Central Bank of Nigeria in Benin on Monday ahead of the Wednesday governorship election in Edo state.
INEC Assistant Director on Voter Education and Publicity, Mrs Prisillia Sule, said party agents participating had been invited to witness the retrieval of the sensitive materials at the CBN.
Similarly,the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abdullahi Gana, has directed the immediate deployment of 20,000 personnel for the Edo governorship election scheduled for Sept. the 28th.
