Restructuring, National Security and the economy took the front burner as Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, unveiled its 80-page manifesto ahead the 2023 general election.

The party, which formally kicked off its campaigns on Satuday, said its seven-point agenda will redirect Nigeria on the positive path.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja after following a meeting of the National Executive Council of the party, National Chairman of the ZLP Chief Dan Nwanyanwu said that though the party has been consulting and having grassroot consultation across the 36 states of the federation, the party now is determined to push further with its campaign with town hall meeting across the six geopolitical zones.

He said, “In preparation for the 2023 general elections, we have reviewed party activities and we have also mapped out strategies towards the general elections coming up next month. We are ready for the 2023 general election. By tomorrow, Saturday, 21st of January, we will be unveiling to the whole world our updated manifesto.

“All the others are virtually saying the same thing. Not that we have not been speaking to them, but we are going to have them documented as a pact, as a covenant with the people of Nigeria. It is not late, this is the best time.

It’s the last leg of political campaigns as Nigerians gear up for national elections in about five weeks.

Zenith Labour Party is one of the political parties taking part in the elections.

ZLP formally unveiled an updated manifesto it believes will endear the electorate to it.

In the seven point agenda, ZLP says Restructuring, National Security, Economy, Sectoral Interventions including health, education and agriculture are its priorities.

The party spoke also to Infrastructure development, governance reforms and youth empowerment

The vexed issue of anti- corruption is also on its agenda as ZLP described graft as the nation’s worst enemy

The party assured Nigerians that if elected, the nation’s economic growth shall be associated with a consistent rise in gross domestic product and revenue as well as increase productivity.
