Troops of the 12 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have successfully rescued six kidnapped victims during a coordinated search and rescue operation across the Ejiba and Saminaka Forest areas, covering Yagba East and Yagba West Local Government Areas.
According to Lieutenant Hassan Abdullahi, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, the operation is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate criminal activities and enhance security across the region.
The mission, which followed intensified air and ground offensives supported by a Nigeria Police helicopter, yielded positive results when troops deployed at Patrol Base Ejiba in Yagba West intercepted the victims.

The rescued individuals were found in stable condition. The bandits reportedly released them due to the sustained pressure from the joint military operations.
Five of the rescued victims have undergone debriefing and have been reunited with their families in Egbe and Ejiba communities of Yagba West, while the sixth is receiving medical attention due to his condition at the time of rescue.
The Brigade affirmed that troops will continue to intensify operations, dominate the forests and known hideouts, and deny criminals the freedom to operate.
