At least ten people have been killed and several houses burnt in fresh violence that erupted in Taraba State, North East Nigeria.
Eyewitnesses say violence started around 2 a.m. when two villages belonging to Fulani ethnic group, were attacked .
The attack on the villages led to reprisals attacks on neighbouring communities.
But Police Public Relations Officer for Taraba State, David Misal, says only six people were killed in the conflict.
The latest killings comes barely a week after the state governor, Darius Ishaku, was reportedly urging Christians across the country to rise up and defend themselves against terrorists.
