Leicester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho and Semi Ajayi of English club Rotherham United have both been dropped by coach Gernot Rohr from the Super Eagles squad to the AFCON tournament.
Iheanacho struggled for game time at his Premier League club in the just concluded Premier league season while defender Semi Ajayi lost out to more experienced players in the teams defence.
The rest of the 23 players will depart for Egypt, venue of the 2019 Nation’s cup from Asaba on a chartered flight today.
