The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Sokoto state command, has paraded five suspects, one of whom is the uncle of a seven-year-old victim who was raped and sodomized by the suspects.
According to Mohammed Saleh-Dada, Commandant of the Sokoto state command of the NSCDC, the uncle of the victim was the first suspect who raped the underage boys and then invited four other persons who continued to rape the boys until they damaged his vital area.

Mr Saleh-Dada said the suspects were apprehended after relatives of the victim raised the alarm about the heinous crime committed by the suspects.
He also said the command is prosecuting a suspect for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl related to him.
The Sokoto commandant stated that the suspect was apprehended after it was discovered that he had repeatedly raped and sodomised the victim before the alarm was raised and he was apprehended.
He stated that following a court hearing, the suspect was remanded in prison custody.
According to him, the command obtained a court order to further detain the five sodomy suspects in order to complete the investigation on their case before charging them in court.
