Senate confirms the appointment of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria, (CJN).
Justice Ariwoola has been the CJN in acting capacity the resignation of the former CJN Justice Tanko Yussuf for health reasons.

Justice Ariwoola is a native of Iseyin in Oyo State and has been on the bench of the Supreme Court since 2011.
He previously served on the bench of the Court of Appeal for 6 years between 2005 and 2011.
