The House of Representatives will on Wednesday and Thursday vote on a series of Constitution amendment bills, moving to accelerate the ongoing review process and ensure its conclusion before the end of 2025.
Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu made the announcement during Tuesday’s plenary, calling on lawmakers to be present and actively participate in the crucial voting exercise.
Kalu, who also heads the Constitution Review Committee, described the upcoming vote as a significant milestone in finalising the long-running constitutional reform effort.

Findings show that both the Senate and the House have already reached consensus on about 44 of the more than 60 proposals presented during the nationwide zonal public hearings.
Among the key issues up for consideration are special seats for women, the creation of state police, new states, reforms on indigeneship, and several electoral amendments.
