Reno Omokri, a Social critic and Special Assistant to the former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has made a strong assertion on the importance of Virginity in marriage.
Writing on his official X handle, Reno Omokri claimed that virginity is the greatest gift a man can receive from his wife. He went on to list the spiritual, physical, and emotional benefits associated with marrying a virgin.
Omokri maintained that men must view themselves as the sole providers in a marriage. He stressed that women should not be expected to contribute financially, but instead focus on preserving their purity before the union.
The statement reads, “As long as a woman brings virginity to the table, she does not have to bring anything else physically to that relationship to make it stable. You, as a man, should bring the rest. The best gift your wife can give you is her virginity. Once she enters the marriage with that, that quality adds value to you physically, spiritually and emotionally. The connection between you and her will be almost mystical.
