The Police Service Commission (PSC) has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the ongoing screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the 2025 regular programme of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

A delegation from the Commission, led by retired Supreme Court Justice Paul Adamu Galumje, has been in Wudil since the exercise commenced on Monday, 6th October 2025, to supervise and assess the process and facilities.

Other members of the delegation include retired Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, Taiwo Lakanu and Uba Bala Ringim, as well as Abdulfatah Mohammed, who represents the Organised Private Sector and the North-West Zone in the Commission.

Speaking during the inspection, Mr Mohammed described the screening as successful and inclusive, noting that the PSC was impressed with the level of organisation. He assured that the Commission would continue to ensure that the Academy’s admission process meets the highest standards.

The PSC team also paid a courtesy visit to the Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, during which Justice Galumje commended the Command’s efforts in maintaining peace and order in the state.

In his response, CP Bakori pledged that officers and men of the Command would continue to give their best in crime prevention and control, while sustaining collaboration with the PSC and other stakeholders to achieve the Force’s objectives.
