The Jigawa State Police Command wishes to officially inform the esteemed public and all road users that it is committed to rigorous enforcement of traffic laws and ensuring road safety.
In line with this mandate, the Command has intensified vigilance against violations related to covered vehicle plate numbers and unauthorized tinted glass, which undermine transparency and pose security risks.
Recently, a coordinated operation led to the apprehension of thirty-eight (38) vehicles found in flagrant violation of established traffic regulations, specifically, non-compliance with lawful tinted permit standards. These infractions hinder effective law enforcement, impede identification, and compromise public safety.
The police hereby admonish all motorists to desist from such unlawful practices and to swiftly adhere to the guidelines regulating plate numbers and tinted glasses. Vehicle owners are advised to remove any coverings on plate numbers and ensure their tinted windows conform to legal provisions.
This enforcement initiative accentuates the Command’s unwavering resolve to uphold law, order, and security within the state. The public’s cooperation and adherence to traffic regulations are pivotal to fostering a safe, secure, and orderly environment for all citizens.
The Command assures all residents that it is working tirelessly to promote compliance, safety, and security on our streets. Sensitization and regular patrols will be sustained to prevent such violations and ensure adherence to traffic regulations.
As the Command appreciates the continued cooperation of the public and reminds all road users to prioritize safety, legality, and responsibility in their daily travels. Anyone found plotting against these orders/laws will be instantly arrested, thoroughly investigated, and prosecuted accordingly.
