Governor of Plateau State Caleb Mutfwang has visited Jebu Bindi Community, where 27 people were killed early Tuesday morning by suspected bandits in the Riyom Council area of the State.

It was a touching and emotional moment as the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, visited Jebu Bindi in the Riyom Council Area, the scene of a brutal and genocidal attack carried out by suspected militias.

The heinous attack, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, July 15, claimed 27 lives and left many with various degrees of injuries.

Governor Caleb MuTfwang led a delegation to the area to see for himself the level of destruction and havoc brought to the community by the invaders.

Addressing the victims locals, Governor Mutfwang condemned the killings in strong terms and assured them he will ensure a comprehensive review of the state’s security architecture to ensure those charged with the protection of lives and property discharge their responsibilities without compromise.

The delegation also visited some of the communities attacked previously.

Governor Mutfwang acknowledged the efforts of troops who have stood firm in defence of Plateau communities but noted that some bad elements within the security agencies must be identified and removed for peace to reign.
