The Federal Government has described the gas agreement between P& ID and Nigeria, as a huge scam aimed at inflicting economic and Financial loss on Nigeria.
The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, disclosed this at a briefing in Abuja on Sunday.
The Dust over the 9.6 billion dollars arbitration award is yet to settle as the Federal Government is working tirelessly to ensure that the decision of the UK Court does not stand.
The Federal Government had earlier assured that no part of the nations assets will be lost as a result of the court ruling as it is taking the necessary steps to investigate the circumstances surrounding the situation .
Now the Federal Government has come out to describe the entire agreement as a huge scam
While the government demonstrates its openness to negotiate and meet the terms of agreement reached with genuine investors, it’s reiterates that it is in no way willing to sell out the interest of Nigeria and its citizens.
While Nigerians watch with bated breath, the Federal Government assures that it is willing to strongly avail itself with all necessary defenses available at its disposal.
