Perpetrators of Offa robbery, killings won’t go unpunished, Saraki vows

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has vowed that those involved in Thursday’s robbery and killings in Offa, Kwara state will be arrested and brought to justice.

In a statement on Friday, Saraki said there is no valid grounds behind such violence that has left many families without their loved ones.

The Senate President also disclosed that he had spoken to Kwara Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, and they both agreed that no stone will be left unturned until the attackers are brought to justice.

In the meantime, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has promised to bear the medical costs of the victims of the armed robbery attack on Offa, the headquarters of Offa local government area of the state on Thursday.

Governor Ahmed made the promise on Friday when he visited some of the victims at the state General hospital, Ilorin.

The Governor who went round the wards to meet with the victims, described the incident as unfortunate even as he consoled the families of the victims.

He also ordered the reinforcement of medical experts to Ilorin from other parts of the state in order to give the victims prompt treatment and support.
