A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau State, Emmanuel Macham, has said reconciliation between the party and its aggrieved governors is no longer possible owing to the complicated nature of the demands put forward by them.

Emmanuel Macham who was speaking to TVC News Nifemi Oguntoye on This Morning on TVC News on Wednesday morning said the governors have constituted themselves into an institution within the party.

He said though the well known demand of the governors is the resignation of the National Chairman is even one that will lead to a mini convention for the party and complete re-organisation of the National working Committee of the party.

He added that they have a lot of demands that takes time to make them happen.

He said the governors should have been a bit more flexible in their demands which is also predicated on the ambition of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

He wondered why the governors will contest for various positions on the platform of the party and still work against the party’s interest by supporting the candidate of another party.

He urged the Governors to retrace their steps from what he says may be a disastrous decision.

He said the scenario which exists now within the Peoples Democratic Party is different to what exists in the period lading up to the 2015 Elections.

He said the G-5 Governors do not have the capacity to derail the agitation of Nigerians to change from the current ruling party.

On the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Mr Macham, said the Rivers State Governor Led the party from 2015 and has lurched from one disaster to another and has also destroyed several State Chapters of the party including Plateau State.

He said Governor Nyesom Wike has taken his luck too far and all he is doing is a threat asking who else will the governors support other than the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He advised the governors to retrace their steps and come back to the fold of the Peoples Democratic Party, adding confidently that his party, the PDP, will always win Rivers State as the People support the party in Rivers State.

On how the National Chairman of the Party, Dr Iyorchia Ayu and its Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have failed to resolve the issue when they have been praised before now for the same crisis management skills, he said the current issue is constitutional.

He added that the governors will not achieve anything in their current agitations but will fail due to the divide among them with them supporting different Presidential candidates.
