Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has charged the new Chairman of the Governing Council of the Benue State College of Education, Oju, to ensure prudent utilization of resources for enhanced service delivery at the institution.

Governor Ortom gave the charge while performing the swearing-in ceremony of the new chairman at the government house in Makurdi.

The new chairman of the Governing Council of the College of Education, Oju, is Vincent Aondoakaa.

The appointment of the new Chairman is to fill up the vacancy that existed in that capacity.

It is intended according to Governor Ortom to add value and reposition the College of Education, Oju, to achieve enhanced education and general service delivery.

The Benue State Governor reminds the new Council chairman that he has come to serve at a time when the administration is winding up, noting that challenges are numerous just as expectations are high from the Benue people.

In his response, Vincent Aondoakaa appreciates the opportunity to serve as the Chairman of the State’s College of Education, Oju, noting that the place of assignment is a familiar terrain.

He pledges to inclusively run the institution with his team to create a conducive environment for learning.

Governor Ortom before the Swearing In ceremony had earlier received a delegation of the Benue Fashion Designers’ Network on a courtesy visit, where he announced that the Benue State Government would sponsor 100 youths in fashion and designs training.

This is to enable them to harness entrepreneurship opportunities in the Fashion and designs sector.
