A Nutrionist from the School of Health Technology, Akure, Charles Bankole has advised Nigerians from the age of forty and above to go for regular medical check ups because of killer diseases like hypertension, Diabetes, stroke and many others. Bankole gave the advice at a medical outreach programme organised by the Lawmaker representing Akure south and North Federal constituency, Afe Olowookere for the aged in his constituency.

At the programme which was organised in partnership with National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), tests were conducted for the aged in areas like Hypertension, Diabetes and HIV/ AIDS.
Bankole described the programme as a necessary ingredient for healthy living, commending the federal lawmaker for facilitating such programme for the aged.
