Some commercial motorcyclists in Akure, Ondo state capital have staged a protest over alleged extortion by policemen along Oda road.
The protest started when one of them had his arm broken while his two passengers sustained varying degrees in an accident they claimed was caused by alleged extortion by some policemen stationed close to a police station.
Immediately the accident happened, the police officers fled the scene but the commercial motorcyclists demanded for justice saying the police caused the accident
The motorcyclists barricaded the road for hours disrupting free flow of vehicles.
Speaking on the incident, the special adviser to the governor on transportation Tobi ogunleye condemned the alleged extortion of innocent citizens by uniformed men.
