Ogun Medical Director commends foundation for newly renovated children's ward in State Hospital

The Medical Director of Ogun State General Hospital, Ifo has called on Nigerians to continue to support the state in the area of healthcare development, in order to complement the efforts of the Governor on the improvement of the health sector.

 

Nigerians have been urged to continue to support the Government in the provision of standard healthcare facilities in public health institutions, in order to enhance healthcare services in the country.

The Medical Director, Adetutu Ogunbi made this known while receiving the newly renovated children’s ward at the hospital.

The Medical Director who was represented at the event says the Government is tying but the infrastructural deficit was much and citizens must come together to support the government.

 

She appreciated the foundation for the gesture and wants others to follow the trend.

Other staff of the hospital, especially those in the children section appreciated the foundation and listed other areas that requires urgent intervention.

The promoter of the foundation, HABIB ADEBIYI says the body was set up to assist those in need, especially in the area of education, health and to empower young people.

He promised to continue to assist the hospital especially the children section.

For more than two years, Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Tomi Coker has been leading a campaign on community participation in healthcare delivery through a programme called adopt a primary healthcare centre.
