The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced plans to temporarily shut down the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) to carry out scheduled maintenance and a sustainability assessment.
According to a statement by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the maintenance exercise will begin on May 24, 2025. He emphasized that the company is collaborating with key stakeholders, including the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), to ensure a smooth and transparent process.
