The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has denied saying in an interview that the federal government was going to spend N1bn on the burial of the late Vice President, Alex Ekwueme.
He described as misleading the controversy over his interview with the media on the Government’s commitment
He said he did not attach any figure to what he termed “a deserving national tribute to one of Nigeria’s foremost Statesman.”
Ngige said he only gave a summary of the number of projects the Federal Government has taken to ensure that a Ekwueme was given a decent burial.
