The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has appealed to passengers who were on Ibom Air flight IAN513 from Uyo to Lagos and witnessed the fracas on board to come forward with information.
In a statement, NCAA spokesman Michael Achimugu urged any such passengers to contact him via direct message or email at michael.achimugu@ncaa.gov.ng.
He said all accounts would be verified to ensure the individuals were indeed on the flight before discussing other perspectives on the incident.

Achimugu stressed that while unruly behaviour and its consequences would not be excused, the Authority wanted to ensure all those responsible were held accountable. NCAA officers in Lagos will also meet police and security personnel involved in the case as part of a fact-finding mission.
He added that the incident should serve as a test for the aviation system, highlighting the importance of learning lessons, closing gaps, and making necessary improvements across the sector.
“The message remains the same — in aviation, it is safety first, safety second, and safety third,” he said.
