The national agency for food and drug administration and control has seized unregistered and fake herbal mixtures and drugs estimated to be worth between sixty-seven to eighty million naira.
This was part of the latest enforcement exercise carried out by the agency to rid the country of such products across the federal capital territory.
In a bid to keep up its fight against the sale of unwholesome products , an enforcement team of the national agency for food and drug administration and control has resumed its job of clamping down on sellers of unregistered, counterfeit and fake pharmaceutical products.
Today the team goes to two markets starting from the area 1 motor park market where they were previously attacked in February.
Second stop is at the dei dei market where more arrests have been made by the enforcement team.
This suspect claims he only sells these herbal drugs for health purposes.
NAFDAC says it will continue to arrest and prosecute these hawkers as it fights to regulate drugs and protect the health of Nigerians.
