The Nigerian Air Force has again advocated for an effective Air to Ground Integration (AGI) as a critical aspect of the fight on defeating insurgents especially in a complex environment like the North West Nigeria.
Commandant of Air Warfare and Doctrine Centre, Air Vice Marshal Garba Ibrahim Jibia made the called during his operational tour of the North-west geopolitical zone.
Air Vice Marshal Garba Ibrahim explained that air assets must work closely with ground forces to deliver precision strikes, thereby enhancing civilian harm mitigation.
He explained that the engagement is in line with the command philosophy of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, which is to deliver decisive air power effect for the realisation of national security objectives.

The Commandant also commended troops of Operation Fassan Yamma Sector 2 for their resilience and operational successes, assuring them of sustained doctrinal guidance and enhanced training support.
On his part the Commander 119 Composite Group Nigeria Air Force,
Group Captain Harry Nanle Gumut, welcomed the visit and reaffirmed the operation’s commitment to innovative air-ground coordination to improve joint operational outcomes.
The visit underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s resolve to ensure practical airpower doctrines are actively applied in the theatre of operation in order to restore lasting peace in the North-west.
