The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) stepped up its security operations in Kwara State on September 28, 2025, launching a wave of coordinated airstrikes across several locations, including Kakihun, Oke-Ode, and Babanla.
The air operations combined targeted reconnaissance missions with precision strikes, aimed at disrupting the activities of armed groups operating in the region.
In one key engagement east of Babanla, air assets identified and eliminated hostile elements through carefully executed strikes.

Surveillance flights were also deployed throughout the day, monitoring strategic areas and relaying real-time intelligence to support ground forces.

NAF officials affirmed their continued commitment to joint operations designed to neutralize emerging threats and maintain stability in the area.
